The AwF World Championship has had a short history as of yet in the AwF. The
Title entered the AwF on Aug 21st 2005, which was the rebirth of the AwF, the AwF management brought this title into
play trying to garner attention and new competiton for the AwF. The title was quickly put up for grabs in its
first night of existence in a match between Johnny Brule Jr. and Rockabilly to kick off the comeback of the AwF. Since that
night, although the title has been around the AwF the least amount of time it has had a major impact on how the
AwF is looked upon today, and even during its rebirth that same night. The belt itself wasn't made official until the AwF
Managment brought in the first "real" belt for the champion at the time at AwF MELTdown 2006. It was a black belt with
a black plate on the front with the AwF emblem (as pictured below). Since then the belt has again changed its looks and may
continue to do so in the future depending on the champion and the AwF Management.
The list of wrestlers that have worn this prestigous title is a short one,
but yet with champions such as the Legendary Johnny Brule Jr. and Rockabilly the list is as prestigous as the title itself.
Every wrestler who enters the AwF arena in Brule for the first time see what its like to be the one wearing the gold and the
pride of being the man on top of the AwF, it makes everyone chase after it. With a slew of talented stars in the ranks
of the AwF right now and many more watching from the outskirts, just waiting for their chance to wrestle in Brule, it's definitely
the most sought after title in the AwF right now. Its the dream of every superstar to at some point in their career become
the AwF World Champion, so while the list of Champions is a short one, the competition for the title may very well be the
most intense.
